Nissan is currently working on a new flagship high-riding vehicle. The actual nameplate isn’t available yet, but the model is currently known as the 2018 Nissan Navara SUV because it’s tightly based on the mid-size pickup truck.
2018 Nissan Navara SUV Features:
As far as we can tell from the spy shots, the 2018 Navara SUV will share almost everything with its truck sibling. Even though it’s totally camouflaged, it’s certain that the front end features carmaker’s trademark V-shaped grille and Navara’s headlights and unique bumper. In addition, the rear end features completely boxy design, which implies that there should be three row of seating for sure.
Except it will share the exterior design with the truck, the 2018 Nissan Navara SUV will also use the same platform, and that’s the reason why we like the SUV already. in contrast to most of the today’s crossover, the Navara SUV will be capable to go off the road without any problem. Plus, it will use pretty capable engines.
Judging by the latest reports, the Japanese car manufacturer will use both gasoline and diesel options. What’s more, all options will be four-cylinder and turbocharged. However, the most interesting option should be the topping trim level, which will come in a pair with a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine capable of delivering from 300 to 400 horsepower. The engine will be mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission only, while the four-cylinder mills should get a six-speed manual option as well.
Just to remind you the new Nissan Navara 2018 pickup truck is powered by 2.5L DOHC 4 cylinder engine with 150 hp. Also, it has a more powerful 4.0-liter V6 engine which gives 269 hp.
Release Date and Price:
The 2018 Nissan Navara SUV will become available in the first half of 2018. The base price should be around $32,000.
