Like other automobile companies, Buick is all set to give its vehicles a revamp for the future and it is readying the Enclave for 2018. The test vehicles have been spied in recent times and a number of images of the 2018 Buick Enclave have appeared online too. There will be some external and internal changes in the model. The fact that the Enclave has become aged is evident. So it needed a makeover big time. The competition is tough and a revamp is the only viable solution for the vehicle to woo the segment buyers.
2018 Buick Enclave – Design Features:
The 2018 Buick Enclave has got some changes in exterior styling. However, the waterfall style vertical grille is there and the Led daytime running lights look nice. The Chevy Traverse and GMC Acadia which were based on same architecture as the Enclave have also been updated in recent times. The Enclave, however, is a big car with three rows of seats. The spy shots reveal the new Enclave will have a slimmer body than the existing version. It is based on the newer the C1XX platform rather than the older Lambda platform. The backlights are rectangular in shape and they may also be Led powered. The back bumper has two exhaust pipes. It is likely to be offered in 3 trims- Convenience, leather, and Premium, like the 2017 model. The car will be sold in 9 colors.
The cabin of 2018 Buick Enclave is expected to be well designed and somewhat lavish in appearance. The default cargo space is 23 cubic feet. However, if you fold up rear seats it goes up to 115 cubic feet. It is not clear if any noise insulation technology will be used. Even though the Buick Enclave is slimmed it will not really mean the cabin is cramped. There will be options to store small items in the cabin. Like the existing version, plenty of soft-touch materials will be used in the cabin. The buyers can also expect some customization options in terms of upholstery.
The existing 2018 Buick Enclave enjoys a reputation for good safety score. The same thing is expected from the upcoming model. Safety features may vary from one trim to another. Features like stability control, traction control, antilock disc brakes and airbags will be there. The top trims will get advanced safety features like blind-spot monitors, forward-collision warnings, and the rearview camera.

The Premium Group offers Bose stereo system, heated front seats and 19-inch chrome wheels and navigation embedded. Separate options may be there for rear seat entertainment. The Premium trim also gets exclusive features like Articulating headlamps, Power Outside Rearview Mirrors.
2018 Buick Enclave – Engine and Gearbox:
The 2018 Buick Enclave may eventually get GM’s 3.6-liter V6 unit and it may also get a nine-speed automatic transmission gearbox. Not much is known about other powertrain options but Buick will surely focus on improving fuel economy in the car. The 2017 model has an engine with an output of 288 hp and that may get a boost in the upcoming model.
2018 Buick Enclave – Price and Expected Release Date:
There is no confirmation regarding the exact price of 2018 Buick Enclave. However, industry experts assume the starting price will be close to $40,000 mark. The car will be made available for sale in late 2017, as per industry buzz.
The 2018 Buick Enclave is a decently large sized luxury SUV. The redesign is welcome and the slimmer profile makes it look more enticing. The safety features and in cabin comforts leaves little room to grudge about. The cabin is quite spacious despite slimming and cargo space is also good. However, not much is known about the power train. However, the Enclave still faces strong competition from the rivals like the formidable Volvo XC90 and Infiniti QX 60.
