The 2018 Audi Q8 is being revealed in Detroit and readied for commercial production. It will be pitted against coupe style large SUVs like BMW X7. 2018 Audi Q8 – New Exterior Design
With the upcoming 2018 Audi Q8, the manufacturer is going to take some new moves in exterior design. The car will be also based on Volkswagen Group’s famous 2nd gen MLB platform, as per Audi sources. The initial teaser images suggest that vehicle will have a redesigned and large grille up front. It will have big vertical lines. Its headlamps could be thinner, adding to a menacing look. While the Q8 is being projected as a sporty and luxury SUV, much like Porsche Cayenne, the rear part will not be exactly coupe-like.
The cabin of 2018 Audi Q8 will be designed lavishly and it will also be roomy. Some elements taken from the company’s flagship A8 sedan could be seen. Of course, you can expect top notch materials in its cabin. The changes in the dashboard style and digital instrument cluster are expected. A new MMI system may be used.
Safety and Amenities:
The Audi has not divulged details on safety and amenities to be used in the upcoming Q8. However, it is going to be a flagship SUV and so Audi will not skimp on these departments at all. However, the standard safety features like airbags, traction control, rearview camera, and lane keep assist may be there.
The infotainment system will be a high-end one. Support for Bluetooth and smartphones would be there. It is also likely to offer GPS, wireless device charging, and HD radio. The company may put in a superb sound system in the car.
2018 Audi Q8 – Under the Hood
It is being expected that upcoming Audi Q8 will be powered by V-6 gasoline as well as diesel engines. Not all markets will get all engine choices, as expected.
