Based on information from some British sources, the upcoming Skoda Yeti would be getting a redesign. Although the new Kodiak has been receiving much attention lately, the 2017 Skoda Yeti due for release deserves the same amount of noise. First introduced in 2009, the Yeti deserves an overhaul if it wants to stay relevant in the competition. When the automaker first entered the compact crossover segment, the Yeti received a nod from both critics and car buyers. In fact, Top Gear magazine declared Yeti the family car of the year. Judging by the number of units sold, the Skoda Yeti is undoubtedly very successful.
As previously said, the 2017 Skoda Yeti will come completely overhauled. We anticipate a lot of changes occurring from both the interior and exterior.
2017 Skoda Yeti – Fresh New Look Promised
The next generation Yeti will be underpinned by the VW MQB platform. It would get an extra 4400 mm as compared to its current model – this means more space for luggage and passenger. Judging by the recent spy photos and pronouncements, the 2017 Skoda Yeti will be getting redesigned fascia. It features a more modern look with sharper and simpler front end. These changes definitely reinvented the Skoda Yeti and will surely propel its sales. Based on the unofficial renders, the next gen Skoda Yeti would be getting a front fascia akin to the new Fabia. The redesigned front grille, headlights, and other parts will take a cue from the new Octavia. There are also many design solutions that are derived from Seat’s 20V20 Concept SUV. Details of the interior design and space are still unclear. However, we expect the 2017 Skoda SUV to come in two versions (five seats and seven seats variant).
2017 Skoda Yeti – Engine Specs
Beneath the hood of this new compact crossover is a line of VW engines that include a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo petrol engine as well as 2.0-liter and 1.6-liter TDI diesel engines, packing 150 hp and 177 hp respectively. For the fuel-efficient, hybrid variant, we expect a combination of electric motor and 1.4-liter gasoline engine. More details about the engine details should be out soon.
2017 Skoda Yeti – Price and Release Date
While there have already been a lot of tidbits about the upcoming Skoda Yeti 2017, we still cannot conclusively say when this crossover would be launched. Some speculate that it will arrive sometime in the latter part of 2017 while others say this year; either way, one thing is sure – that it will among the newest SUVs to bear the Czech label. The price would not wander far from its closest competitor. For the British market, the base trim will carry a price tag at around £ 16,000.
